This year, FKNArmy has made it a mission to support and feed elderly people, especially those who have been forgotten or left without family support in old age homes and care facilities. Through the incredible support of the communities of Witbank and Middelburg, that mission continues to grow stronger every day.
When people said it would be impossible for neighbouring towns to stand together for one cause, Witbank and Middelburg proved them wrong. More than 3,000 people united through the MidWit event with one goal in mind, helping others and uplifting the community.
Because of the support shown at the event, several outreach initiatives were recently completed across both towns, bringing essential supplies and assistance to care facilities and organisations caring for vulnerable people.
Middelburg Outreach Efforts
At St Joseph in Middelburg, home to 51 residents, FKNArmy identified several ongoing needs, including maintenance work, paint, adult diapers, and general support for the facility.
The team also reached out to SAVF Middelburg, which cares for approximately 80 people. Donations and support included semi-perishable groceries such as oats, sugar, beans, as well as hygiene essentials like soap, Vaseline, powder, and diapers.
Witbank Outreach Efforts
In Witbank, FKNArmy supported Edenpark, where approximately 270 people benefit from assistance, including diapers and semi-perishable groceries.
Support was also extended to SAVF Immergroen in Witbank, which cares for around 70 people. Donations focused on frozen vegetables, jelly, hygiene products, diapers, and other essential groceries needed to help care for residents.

These outreaches are proof that when communities unite, lives can truly be changed. What started as a community event became something far bigger, an opportunity for ordinary people to help feed, support, and uplift elderly residents who are often overlooked.
FKNArmy thanked every supporter from Witbank and Middelburg who attended, donated, and contributed towards making the MidWit event a success.
The organisation says this is only the beginning.
Now the question is, which towns are next? 🔥
